Want an easy way to outsmart the competition, grow your business, and increase your chances of conversions and sales? Believe it or not, there’s a three-letter acronym that can help you obtain all those things and more: S-E-O.
The importance of SEO in today's digital marketing and business world cannot go understated. There's a reason why local businesses and online businesses alike have flocked to SEO experts and companies like ours.
If you're still unsure of the importance of SEO though, consider these benefits below. Even still, these 14 points are only skimming the surface of how SEO can transform your business into a high-end success.

You're a business owner and you want to see quantifiable results. We get it. Here's how SEO strategies can help you improve and expand your digital presence.
Think of search engines as the weary parents of potential customers you're trying to woo. These search engines want only the best for potential customers, so you're going to have to win them over.
The sites that rank highest on the search engine results page are typically considered trustworthy, credible sources by search engines. And that's because they've taken the time to improve their site through SEO best practices as much as possible, helping them stand out in the search engine's eyes.
SEO helps you target those exact factors that search engines take into account when vetting what's credible and trustworthy online. So as you prove your worth and capacity to provide relevant, meaningful content, search engines will begin to reward you by boosting your rankings (which also boosts your number of organic clicks as pictured below).
Organic search plays a massive role in most businesses' site performance.
In fact, recent studies have revealed organic traffic to have a 2.1% conversion rate for B2C companies and a 2.6% conversion rate for B2B companies.
Receiving an influx of organic traffic also signals to search engines that you are a trustworthy source who doesn't rely solely on paid digital marketing strategies to receive clicks.
SEO strategies are as diverse as they are innovative. With specific tools to help you navigate search query data to SERP analysis, SEO can help you understand search intent and user behavior, making it easier for you to reach new customers based on their preferences.
Making your website search engine-friendly isn't only going to help boost your rank in Google search results. It's also going to set your site up for an excellent user experience.
In fact, Google's Page Experience Update is something every marketing team should be looking at. Customers know what they want, and if the web pages they're clicking on aren't delivering, then they won't be able to find the back button quickly enough.
But setting yourself up for SEO success means reaping the benefits of SEO, both from a search engine perspective as well as a user experience perspective.
Local SEO is targeted toward optimizing your local business’s digital properties within a specific vicinity. So when people search, "bakery Los Angeles," your baked goods brand will stand out among the rest on a local level.
Local SEO strategy accomplishes this through local citations and backlinks as well as regional listings that are relevant to your brand's business sector and physical location.
It was recently reported that a staggering 80% of local searches end up converting into sales. And if your site is among the top search results, there's a 90% chance your business will receive that sale.
Marketing efforts have no doubt changed over time with the course of technology. And Google algorithm updates present a whole different ballgame altogether.
Luckily, SEO helps businesses track these changes in order to respond and adapt to such updates in real-time. SEO is all about monitoring changes to stay ahead of the competition, namely tracking which other sites are making it onto the first page of search results.
Immediate gratification is delicious. But if you're only relying on paid campaigns to get you in the top search results, those efforts aren't going to be sustainable long-term.
Did you know that 90.63% of pages get no organic traffic from Google? This means that many websites out there don't understand the importance of SEO.
So if you want to generate more traffic in a sustainable fashion, you'll want to go with an SEO company that offers up their proof of results.
Any smart business owner wants to know that they're putting their money into something with quantifiable, sustainable results. And that's exactly why many have turned to SEO experts for their online businesses.
With proper tracking and analytics, you'll be able to measure a substantial amount of SEO data, seeing your results continually improve over a longer period of time.
Take, for example, one of our client case studies. We began working with this luxury beauty company in March 2020. By November 2020, we managed to increase their number of organic visitors by 3500%.
That's a 3500% increase in just 8 months!
An SEO strategy that many fail to recognize is its ability to build long-term equity for your brand. When search engines reward you with a good ranking, they elevate your digital marketing footprint, increase your online traffic, and help you reach your target audience faster.
SEO analysis offers a clear view into the perspective of buyers which can inevitably impact the buying cycle. In fact, there's even research to support the fact that SEO insights are used by a variety of marketers.
This means that you can use SEO to your advantage to relay brand deals, new products, or new services, while generally creating a sense of dependability that customers will surely respond to.
For every online business, there comes a time when paid digital marketing strategies must be explored. We're not discouraging your use of PPC campaigns.
Rather, we're encouraging you to recognize the importance of SEO in addition to paid ads. As we said before, digital marketing through SEO is a long-term investment meant to withstand the test of time.
The stats tell us that organic searches are 8.5 times more likely to get clicked than paid searches.
And when paired strategically with paid ads, SEO can actually boost your credibility, earning you a deserving spot on the first page of search results.
Isn't that better visibility than appearing to have simply thrown money at a search engine? We think so.
As a business owner, the last thing you want to do is throw too much money at an unsustainable prospect. Unlike paid one-offs, SEO can garner your website more traffic over time.
SEO is important for a number of reasons. But perhaps one of the greatest benefits of SEO is that it nurtures the health of your website.
Creating pages that provide valuable information to customers through quality content is not something search engines can discount. Making this a sustainable practice is sure to get you the digital marketing results you want to see.
Each day, Google processes over 8.5 billion searches per day. And already for 2023, e-commerce sales are expected to grow a staggering 10.4%.
Suffice it to say that search engine optimization isn't going away any time soon. While best practices may change and vary, SEO is the best way to stay on top of the latest trends in Google search results.
And with the right SEO company by your side, new organic opportunities will always arise. So if you want to secure your spot among the websites appearing on page one of Google, consider SEO as the best tool at your disposal.

By now, you know why SEO is important. So let's go over the core elements that make up the best practices of search engine optimization.
Finding the right keywords are crucial for your website's visibility and for grabbing the attention of your target audience. These keyword phrases offer the perfect avenue for you to optimize your titles, URLs, and other on-site SEO practices.
According to AHREFs, 94.74% of keywords get 10 monthly searches or fewer whereas 0.0008% of keywords get more than 100,000 monthly searches.
This is why proper keyword analysis in SEO is important. Instigating keyword research on a regular basis will not only help you get a leg up on the competition.
But it will also help you build authority, trust, consistency, and engagement among your customers. Although, you do want to be careful of keyword stuffing.
A search engine wants to be gently wooed with your strategically placed keywords, not hit over the head with various keywords of your choice. Finding the right balance will help you get recognized by Google without getting penalized.
CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, recently reported that the world's largest index of the Internet contains roughly 5 million terabytes of data. That's a lot of noise to have to cut through.
But SEO focuses on creating high-quality content that is actually valuable to readers and customers alike. Regular blog posts that engage readers while offering you ample opportunities for keyword placement are the perfect way to set these SEO best practices into effect.
Furthermore, SEO offers you insights into how to make your content relevant to consumers. Through keyword analysis, you can investigate what customers are similarly searching for, giving you even more chances to push content that satisfies their multiple interests.
Building links to external quality sites sends yet another positive signal to search engines, demonstrating your trustworthiness and credibility.
In fact, 66.31% of pages have no backlinks, giving you ample opportunity to boost your SEO practices through link building.
There are three main types of SEO that, when combined and executed properly, can set your site up for maximum success.
Performing technical SEO gives your site the ability to be easily crawled and indexed by Google without issue. Any problems regarding crawling and indexing can negatively impact your rankings.
On-page, or on-site SEO, has to do with the content of your website and its subsequent elements. In essence, each page of your site should provide enough signals to search engine crawlers to demonstrate both the meaning and context of your content.
Following on-page SEO best practices can also improve your site's usability while simultaneously boosting credibility and trustworthiness.
Off-page, or off-site SEO, refers to building quality links as a way of promoting your website.
The benefits of SEO speak for themselves. But when it comes time to choose an SEO company to partner with, you'll want to watch out for some key indicators that separate the good from the bad.
"White hat SEO" refers to SEO strategies, techniques, and best practices that abide by search engine rules. Their primary objective is to provide more value to people.
On the other hand, "black hat SEO" refers to techniques and strategies that attempt to fool search engines into increasing search result rankings. While these techniques may work, they ultimately put the website at extreme risk of being penalized and/or de-indexed - not to mention the ethical implications that lie underneath.
As a leading Los Angeles SEO company, we understand why SEO is important and we know how to implement SEO practices that will set you and your business up for success.
Through diligent research, ethical sourcing, and close client communication, our main focus lies in helping you generate growth, resulting in increased visibility, customer loyalty, and digital revenue.

We can't wait to work with you!

On the first page alone, the #1 organic result is 10x more likely to receive a click and has an average CTR of 27.6%.
If you‘re like most searchers, you prefer clicking on organic search results as opposed to clicking on paid search ads. As noted by the CTR stats above, simply paying for Google Ads is not enough. And we are not just saying that because we are a leading Los Angeles SEO company.
Recent studies have proven that in order to benefit from the traffic and organic clicks to your website, your business needs to hold a prominent organic position in the results, namely on page one.
Studies indicate that the #1 result in Google gets 34% of the organic traffic and that improving your ranking from #2 to #1 will actually double your organic traffic.
Furthermore, only 0.63% of Google searchers click on something from the second page of search engine results. So while Google Paid Ads (PPC ads) may get you immediate results on page 1, that kind of placement won't last long.
If you think you are getting the most bang for your buck with your Google Adwords campaign, I challenge you to reframe your thinking. You are paying for high-cost search ads that may provide instant gratification, but in the end provide zero long-term investment, minimal CTR (click-through rate) per dollar spent, and does little to heighten brand credibility.
Organic rankings always equate to higher quality traffic that is much more easily converted to a lead or sale whereas paid ads offer zero long-term results.
Having placement in the organic results creates a sense of trust in the user, and when you are in the top 5 results, you are simply getting more of that traffic on a monthly basis.
Can you guess which websites are more likely to receive more leads and sales?
If you guessed the websites that receive traffic from the more trusted organic results, you are correct.
Organic search engine rankings always equate to higher-quality traffic that is much more easily converted to a lead or sale.
Important Tip #1: Make sure the SEO company you are hiring can show you case studies with proof of results before beginning any SEO campaign. Otherwise, DO NOT work with them.
I think you know the answer. How often do you go past the top 3, or even top 5 results when you are searching? I’ll tell you: only about 3% of the time.
When looking at the bar graph above, CTR, or click-through rate, is the percentage of people who click on your website in that position on an average search. The conclusion? You simply must be in the top 3 results to see the traffic your website deserves, and you must work with a results-driven, reputable SEO company that can provide those results.
Important Tip #2: Considering a cheap SEO company may seem attractive at first, but in most cases, it doesn't pay. And, in fact, it could cause more damage to your site's reputation than good.
“Affordable” SEO companies most often lack the dedication and commitment (they rely on volume and often leave clients behind) and technical and marketing expertise it takes to yield actual, long-lasting results.
We’ve seen many clients get “burned” by scammy, low-cost SEO companies, only to come back to us to clean up the mess that was made (Google Penalties, Spammy Links, Ugly/Unwanted website changes, poor website copy, etc.).
Don’t make that mistake! Like most things in life, with SEO, you get what you pay for.
Organic refers to the way a website “organically” or “naturally” appears in a search result. So when you go to Google, and you type in “Los Angeles SEO”, the results that appear after the Google ads are the “organic” results.
Google wants to ensure that searchers are not only getting the results they need but want to give them the best possible outcomes based on their queries. Therefore, these results are the best possible matches based on what you entered into the Google search bar, aka “keywords”.
If your business appears in a page one organic search result, it suggests that your website and your business are leaders in that niche.
And what consumer doesn’t want to do business with a credible leader within their product, service, or field?
Achieving organic page one search results not only increases the searcher’s propensity to click on a website but also helps to establish your website position’s longevity and the duration a searcher or visitor engages with your website.
Once a searcher (or shopper) gets to your website, your website should make them want to spend some time clicking around, exploring the site, reading content, and learning about you and your business. Ultimately, you want them to pick up the phone, book a session, or click “purchase”!
It is important to note that conversion and Click-Thru Rate (CTR) have a lot to do with external SEO factors like a modern, responsive website that has excellent evergreen content, strong sales copy, and loads of great, easy-to-read and interpret information about your business, products, and services.
There’s no arguing that having your business’ website rank in the top 5 positions of Google is a great achievement. Like any great success, those results take a fair amount of time, skill and SEO expertise. However, once your business makes its way to the top, it starts to reap the bountiful benefits of consistent traffic, clicks, leads, calls and customers.
Overall, prominent ranking in organic SEO is not only beneficial to the people searching for your business; it is the best for the longevity of your website and optimal business growth.
A recent study determined that 92.96% of all website traffic is generated by Google! We can’t think of a better motivation to get a website going for your business in 2021.
If you already have a website for your business, it is time to take it to the next level by harnessing the power of Search Engine Strategies (SES).
Generally speaking, SES is the methods and tools used to increase visibility and traffic to your website (and your business). While there are many other ways to bring more traffic to your website, research shows us that all other methods pale in comparison to online search.
Appearing in a Google search ad above the organic results is not enough. Where your business appears on the page matters!
Being on the first page of any search result is highly beneficial for a business. However, considering 92.96% of all web traffic is coming from Google, the most coveted position for any website (any business) is to rank on page one through organic search marketing. As you might imagine, ranking on page one of Google can be challenging not to mention highly competitive.
This is why Up Inc.’s SEO strategy campaigns are the most cost-efficient way to get your business ranking on Google’s page one.
